Workshop Day - Fundraiser
Mark your calendars! We're hosting a free Workshop Day on October 12, 2025, featuring a lineup of world-class artists, including the one and only Jake Shimabukuro! Join him and other amazing instructors—Cory Mau, Craig Chee, Lina Girl, Neal Chin, and Sarah Maisel—for a full day of ‘ukulele learning.
The livestream kicks off at 9 AM Hawai‘i Time (Noon Pacific) and should end around 3PM. It's completely free to watch, and we'll have the recording available afterward. To get the most out of the workshops, you can purchase our downloadable materials (PDFs), with all proceeds supporting Four Strings at a Time. Signing up on Four Strings at a Time’s e-mail list, or ours here at Craig & Sarah, will ensure you know when Workshop Materials (and other goodies) are ready for purchase.

Fort Langley International ‘Ukulele Festival

Thanks to the support of many individuals we are at full capacity for our workshops and for our Friday Night Premium Concert.
Tickets are still available for our Saturday Night Concert and of course there are several free concerts scheduled for Friday and Saturday at our Main Event Venue - Fort Langley National Historic Site.
Los Angeles International ‘Ukulele Festival

The 9th annual festival kicks off Friday, September 19 with a VIP Meet-and-Greet (sold out), then continues Saturday, September 20 — the Main Event! Enjoy a full day of workshops & continuous live performances by today's top ukulele artists from around the world — all for one low, flat admission price. Kids 12 & under are free with a paid adult.
Sunday, September 21: Brunch Hangout — workshops and jams with Bernadette Mata & Kimo Hussey followed by the afternoon concert featuring GRAMMY winners Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer with Chinese hammered dulcimer virtuoso Chao Tian in From China to Appalachia, a blending of American roots and Chinese folk in a one-of-a-kind cross-cultural performance.

Monthly Livestream - Chord Melody
This livestream workshop was chosen by our students! We are excited to get you started on your Chord Melody journey, and show you how to create your own arrangements. We’ll go through a variety of ways to get the job done, utilizing chords in different positions, and even work in some other techniques like hammer-ons and pull-offs. This will be a great class for those looking to expand their chord vocabulary.

Monthly Livestream - Transposing
This one is being done by special request! We’ll spend some time transposing into a variety of keys and show you how simple it can really be. We’ll have a great time playing in keys we don’t usually frequent, and maybe you’ll find some keys you enjoy more than others. It will be a great learning experience with lots of chord options available. If you’ve ever been intimidated by transposing, this class is perfect for you. We will have chord options for all level of players as we work through a variety of progressions and songs.

Monthly Livestream - Let's Practice

This is one of Sarah’s favorite holiday classics and she’s excited to share arranging tips for this song! We will start of very simple, and showcase how adding a few chords here and bits of color there can really enhance the sound of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”. We are so excited to be seeing our friends at Island Bazaar, again. We will kick off the evening with a workshop.
